FAMILY LAW In family law matters, my fields of practice are as follows: Separation; divorce; child custody; access and visiting rights; child support; alimentary pension; lump-sum payments; compensatory allowance; family patrimony; division of assets and debts; common law spouses and drafting of agreements for common law spouses. CIVIL, COMMERCIAL AND FAMILY MEDIATION I am registered on the list of certified mediators for civil matters at the Superior Court of the Montreal Courthouse, and I am a member of the Quebec Association of Family Mediation. Mediation is an alternate method of dispute resolutions used by individuals and companies that wish to settle their differences by way of negotiation, and doing so before a certified mediator who is neutral and impartial. Mediation allows to reduce the delays and the costs of a contested case, and it can be held even before a legal action is instituted. Mediation can help maintain amongst individuals good future relationships, and it may maintain future business relationships amongst business people.
